In the era of the “Bronx is burning” and the crack epidemic, survival was a priority. But art was far behind. In all that chaos, art was the only thing that made sense to me. Art was there when food was short or when it was difficult to see the light at the end of the tunnel.

The energy that comes from my artwork comes from my love, struggle and circumstance. Art was a gift God gave to me so who am I to waste it.
