Education K-3

 Sculpture

Artists are creative and use many different materials to make their art. Gabrielle Roos uses paper and metal in their piece “Detritus.”
Connecting very different materials can be both challenging and beautiful.

Look around your classroom or home to find your materials (paper, newspapers, magazines, fabric, foil, etc.) and create a piece of art using a variety of those different materials.
How are the materials different from one another? Are they different colors? Is paper bendy? Is cardboard strong? Notice the properties of different materials.
