‘My artistic identity and ‘calling’ :

If my original art somehow touches people or at least moves them to smile or feel emotion, then my work has merit. All of my art represents life and our environment. I lived in Portland, Oregon and loved swaying high above the ground in the tall Evergreen trees. I love nature and want to create more landscapes. Moving to New York City years ago, my focus became ‘people’. I enjoy trying to capture each person’s character and humanity. It is important that as I create my original art and original music, I have a chance for exposure generated by an organic understanding and enjoyment of my art. I cannot afford art materials such as canvas and paints all the time. I don’t have an easel and I usually use a metal music stand. I don’t want to sound egotistical, but I feel a passion to unite people through our common humanity and enjoyment of music and art. Art on the Ave NYC is exactly a needed organization to discover under-represented artists that are struggling to exist, survive, grow and express themselves. Though many people have left New York City, the ones who have remained are getting stronger, and the feeling is that things are getting better. I hope artists will lead a healing and resurrection of this unique and soon to be happier city. I will be working hard and creating more art every day to contribute to this dream.
