Cardboard Sculpture

56” H x 24” l x 22”D

KY Fina Yeung

As a visual artist, I create paintings and sculptures using recycled cardboard as my primary material. My work aims to provide a creative solution for the climate emergency by reducing waste and promoting sustainability. I am inspired by the natural world and the beauty of organic forms, so I use the cardboard to recreate these designs in my sculptures. I utilize the texture of cardboard to recreate the organic designs that reflect the shapes and patterns found in nature. This includes human figures, flowers, plants, and coral reefs. My sculptures serve as a reminder that even the most mundane objects can be transformed into something extraordinary if we are willing to look at them with a fresh perspective.
